Effective strategies. Tailored communications. Impressive results.
Every client is different. Different objectives, industries, timelines, budgets, stakeholders, internal politics, approval processes, and expectations. With experience spanning numerous fields, from multinationals to small businesses, we’ve learned that communications, marketing & PR strategies cannot be one size fits all. We tailor our advice and plan for each client given their goals, needs, limitations, and context.
Our team of expert communicators is proficient at developing strategies, brands, and tools from scratch, as well as in evaluating existing plans and materials and proposing insightful recommendations for improvement. We then bring our creativity and knowledge to implement those strategies and produce those products, all while respecting your goals and budget.
Here is a snapshot of some of the (non-confidential) work we’ve done for various clients.
Websites
Websites are a crucial opportunity to show off everything your organization does and/or can offer while controlling the message. Since most visitors won’t spend much time on your website, in addition to good design and easy navigation, you need to grab their attention quickly with on-point messaging that clearly explains what you do and convinces them that your organization is the one.
Brochures, Pamphlets & Newsletters
Whether printed or in electronic form, to inform potential investors, donors or clients about your organization and its offering, to promote a specific initiative or product, or to inform and engage employees, brochures, pamphlets and newsletters remain effective tools for many organizations. They must be well designed to catch people’s attention, but what is written is equally – if not more – important. Messaging must be carefully considered, written clearly and target your audience to effectively achieve the intended goal(s).
- E-newsletter, dancing gecko training
- Product marketing brochure, Fertitech
- Corporate brochure, Redecam
- Product marketing brochure, Redecam

PowerPoint Presentations
Powerpoint presentations should ideally be customized, not only to your specific objective but to your intended audience and the speaker. A PowerPoint may look amazing with three words on each slide, but if the presenter is not a comfortable public speaker and has not rehearsed, the results can be counterproductive. Indeed, presentation training, which I offer as well, can make an enormous difference in delivering an effective presentation.
- Fertitech (Target audience: potential customers. Presenters: sales team)
- Redecam (Target audience: potential clients. Presenters: business development & sales teams)
- Shriners Hospitals for Children – Canada, #CutTheBull campaign (Target audience: high school students. Presenters: patient and myself or a member of the hospital communications team)
- McGill University Health Centre, Glen site project (Target audience: local community. Presenters: MUHC representatives)
Videos
Videos are becoming increasingly popular, including on social media. They can be costly or made “on the cheap” – the choice of which way to go depends on your objectives, audience and evidently, budget. Although I only have a few examples of videos I conceived, wrote and directed that I can show here, I have significant experience in this type of tool, having written and directed corporate videos and before that, having been a television reporter.
Magazine Articles
Thought leadership can be an effective means of garnering the respect and trust of potential clients and partners. I have written a number of articles for clients, mostly for trade/industry magazines, intended to put them forward as experts in their field. In all cases, I have been the “ghostwriter”.
- “Quebec’s First Online Bachelor of Nursing Program to be Launched at McGill Thanks to the Doggone Foundation.” Article for McGill Faculty of Medicine in Med e-News, December 2019

Media Relations
News releases and traditional media coverage remain vital for many organizations, whether in general news or industry-specific/niche media. My experience as a journalist means I understand news desks and the news cycle better than others and this has translated into success garnering positive and considerable news coverage for my clients. When dealing with a public relations crisis, I create a targeted media strategy, question & answer (Q&A) documents to prepare stakeholders for answering prickly questions and media training, crucial for any media spokesperson.

Advertisements
I am not an advertising agency. That being said, my experience getting a targeted message across to a specific audience in a concise manner has meant success at writing ads, some for B2B clients in industry magazines, others for the general public either via magazines, web or social media.
Promotional Banners
Promotional banners and posters may be very graphics-based, but without the right words and messages targeted to your audience, they won’t be effective.
